The Immaculate Conception is a Catholic dogma, proclaimed by Pope Pius IX on December 8, 1854 with the bull "Ineffabilis Deus", which sets out how the Virgin Mary was preserved free from original sin from the first moment of conception.
The Catholic Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary 's Dec. 8.The  Immaculate Holiday inaugurates the celebrations of the month of December.
