Florens 2010 - What's on today November 15

Florens 2010 has moved to Scandicci for a session dedicated to the city as a cultural contemporary. Russell Newton Institute meeting at 10.30 am  with the keynote dialogue on the contemporary city.
Speakers philosopher Sergio Givone architect Richard Rogers, moderator David Rampello.
In the afternoon at 3.30 pm the architect Mario Botta, the town planner and the economist Alberto Magnaghi Antonio Calafati, chaired by Alessandro Balducci, will discuss the city as a cultural asset.
At 5.00 pm screening of the documentary Secrets of Florence, introduced by Alexander Moen, vice-president of National Geographic Society Mission Programs, while starting from 5.30 pm square blanket Institute of Scandicci Russell-Newton will become the stage for five video works on the urban landscape, with many Italian artists commissioned and produced for Florens 2010. The project, undertaken by Interart and edited by Pietro Gagliano, is titled VISIONIDICITTA '.
In the meantime, at  2.30 pm at Salone dei Cinquecento in Florence there will be the workshop Seven, Six thematic lessons plus one, which aims to involve students of different nationalities on the themes of: lightness, quickness, exactitude, visibility, multiplicity and consistency. Speakers in the footsteps of Italo Calvino, Francesca Colombo, Superintendent of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Leonardo Ferragamo, President of Partners of Palazzo Strozzi, Robin Good, Communication design and new media explorer, Fransiska Nori, Director of the Centre for Contemporary Culture Palace Strozzi, Franco Pacini, an astronomer and Sergio Risaliti, scholar and art critic. Concludes Gabriele Poli, President of the Young Entrepreneurs of Florence. During the conference is scheduled the keynote address by Achille Bonito Oliva who will discuss the art critic of beauty through a critical reading of the episodes that have marked the evolution of art history from the early Renaissance to Mannerism, the nineteenth the contemporary world. Bonito Oliva will address the issue by submitting the aesthetic category of beauty to an analysis filter that changes the concept of time in art since the Renaissance to the perfection of aberration baroque up to the taste and sense of beauty in the age current.Completing the program Florens 2010 Monday, November 15, among other appointments, meetings through the enhancement of cultural empowerment and learning through experience, respectively, at 9 and 11 in the Salone dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio and the second day of Goods Culture: Science, new institutions and industry.
Finally, starting from 3.30 pm visit the chapels restored at the Basilica of the Santissima Annunziata will be possible  (thanks to the 'UIA - International University of Art) . Visits are leaded  by Guido Botticelli, chief restorer SS Silvia Annunziata and Botticelli, an art historian.
